Sam Mullock - Scheme Actuary

Sam is the Scheme Actuary to the three schemes, and manages First Actuarial’s relationship with RGPTL.  He is a partner of the firm and a senior actuary with over 25 years’ pensions experience. Sam is a recognised expert on pensions in the social housing sector, and regularly features in publications on this topic.

Sam joined First Actuarial early in 2017 after moving back to Manchester from London. In his spare time, Sam is a committee member of a community benefit society.

Jen Hodgson - Scheme Secretary

Jen is the Scheme Secretary for the RGPTL. Jen is a qualified actuary with more than eight years' experience in the pensions industry. 

As well as taking responsibility for the organisation of Trustee meetings, Jen prepares the Trustee’s business plan and helps to ensure that good governance standards are maintained.

Lucy Young - Lead Administrator

Lucy is the lead administrator for the three schemes and has regular day-to-day contact with Scheme members. Lucy is a senior pensions administrator with over 13 years’ experience in the pensions industry, having joined First Actuarial in 2020.

As well as being responsible for routine member enquiries Lucy also attends Trustee meetings presenting reports and ongoing administration issues.

Andrew Overend - Lead Investment Adviser

Andrew is the head of First Actuarial’s investment team, and the lead investment adviser to the three schemes.  He originally qualified as an actuary, but now has many years’ experience specialising in investment work.

Andrew has particular expertise in liability-driven investment strategies, an approach already implemented by all three schemes.
